Taking the action

A lot of people are so afraid of what will happen next that they never really take action to change their lives.

If you are like me, there will be so much regrets in lives...things that you wished you have done...but it's not all over...our lives could have its deepest shit but it does not mean the end...if you are willing to take action. It doesn't matter whether you are 24, 34, 44 or whatever...as long as you take that chance, that one shot...you know you can make the difference..

Today, I am taking that action...it might mean making a lot of crazy mistakes along the way but it's best failing knowing that I have done my best than to be fail without trying...

Living life...

I know that most people said that after working, life seems to be a routine...

Wake up early in the morning, head to work and then rushed back home...dinner...sleep...then another day...

But then, we did not succumb to the norm of life...we refused to say goodbye to living life....we did not want to merely exist...we want to live...

Well, this is what we decided to do...meet up together in my house...

Round One: Drink and talk about life...

One Bacardi, 2 bottles of wine....
I think the picture sums it all up? Well, basically, there are 6 of us....it was really nothing...just a bunch of friends, drinking and talking about stories together...3 graduates who are working and 3 more who are still studying in UM.

That was round one...

After that, it was ROUND TWO....we decided to do away with alcohol....and so, we had supper together (Nasi Lemak Ayam) in Seapark, then spent some time together chatting...some FIFA session....then a bit of sleep...
We thought of going for Curry Wantan Mee at 5am but it was not opened...and so, we opted for McD instead...

Lack of sleep...

Siow Wei, Tom, Choon Foong and Soon Aik, awaiting to order...

Breakfast!!

This will keep us awake for our work later...

Introducing Choon Foong and Siow Wei!!

Soon Aik looking amazingly cute here!!

Tom

Chow May Kee, still refusing to be awake??
If you think that eating is all that we do, you are getting it wrong...

We do not really care about whether it is the alcohol we are consuming or the Fast Food we are eating, or the mamak that we visited...we are simply trying to make sense of our time together...

and guess what, we went back to sleep after that while May Kee, Siow Wei and Choon Foong need to go to university...Tom was up early...and I almost late for work...but still, we survive...

So how about ROUND THREE? I guess I'll wait for Futsal!!

Time for Euro 2012

Well, the EPL is over and it did not end so well with Manchester United not winning anything at the end...to make it worse, the defeat comes at the very last moment when Manchester City fought back to win QPR by 3-2...2 goals in the stoppage time...unbelievable end, equal points but lost by goal difference...

Anyway, it is over...and it is now time for Euro 2012

Most Manchester United fans are supporters of England but I have always been a fan of Italy and I will root for the team, regardless of the rather poor performance in this continental championship.

Well, for those of you who do not know, the countdown to the competition is 19 days....

For those of you who want to follow the news and updates using the smartphone apps, try the Euro 2012....it is available on the iOS...Not too sure if it is also available in Android...

Breakfast in Ipoh famous coffee place

Well, one thing good about Ipoh, the things that I love most is here.
My family, the coffee, the amazing breakfast like no other...

This is one of the few places in Ipoh with the best coffee...and it costs way cheaper than Starbucks...

Initially, we wanted to go to where the original of the Old Town, Nam Heong but the place was close....so we went to this place, which is as good as Nam Heong...

Say Hi to Ipoh white coffee!!

The best way to start the day...I had no doubt bout it...

Mother's Day dinner in Mun Cheong Restaurant

Well, it's Mother's Day...normally, we would go for Western food but this time around as my grandmother is also around, we went to Mun Cheong Restaurant. It is a pretty good Chinese cuisine restaurant but it is really not my favourite. Let's put it this way: I don't fancy eating Chinese cuisines.

Alright, here is the first dish served when we reached there...

This is quite an expensive dish but I kinda dislike it!! Honestly, can't it just be a normal soup without too much of seafood...

Well, everyone seem to find the food to be rather nice....I'm probably the odd one...

Anyway, here is the next one served:

If anyone who know me long enough, prawns and seafood are really not my thing...

Well, basically, these are the dishes served...not a fan of any of them but I think this taught me one important thing...

Regardless of one's own preferences of food, it is always enjoyable when you do so with your family members...

Happy Mother's Day!!

Enough of the dinner, time to get ready for the final game of the season....QPR and United must win!!

Back to Ipoh and YenLeng's birthday

Well, I had a terrible Thursday night when I only managed to finish up everything at about 10.30pm....therefore my plan to back Ipoh was postponed to yesterday early morning instead...

Took this while I was on the go....tada!! heading back to Ipoh!!

Anyway, I had a breakfast with my grandma and parents...then I went back to wash the toilet....unbelievable but I am compelled to do something for the family in little ways that I could...

After that, it was time to go out...YenLeng's birthday after all...

First location: AEON Jusco in Station 18
Firstly, the weather was freaking hot so we decided the best place to hide is the shopping mall, and the nearest of them all is AEON Jusco, in Station 18...
Kinda regret heading to that place since the cinema will only open in June and the Starbucks opening is on 16th May...disappointing..

Nevertheless, we tried some of the coffee shops there...

I wouldn't say I enjoy that much of these coffees....the ones in Nam Heong is much better and much cheaper as well...
If compared to the ones in Starbucks, these are also of poorer class...
So, I think if you want premium coffee, go for Starbucks or Nam Heong in Ipoh...don't ever try it somewhere else!!

Hangout with friends

Life is a routine and at times, we are sick of it. Nobody like doing the same thing all the time....I'm no different.

Well, this week, we went to have some fun....initially the plan was to go for supper and then play pool...we had our makan session at the Nasi Lemak there, and we met Er Qi (the "aunty" housemate back in 17) and her boyfriend just before we wanted to leave...I went to take the cupcake my friend made and then we decided to go to Library in SSTwo Mall...

Well, I know the Angry Birds look cute, but I ate it!!  haha!!

There was the new open Library in SSTwo Mall, and believe it or not, it was really different from the usual one that you see...here, there are pool tables, then gaming centre including Kinect, dart game and others....and surprise surprise....Karaoke Rooms...well, the facilities in the Karaoke Rooms here sucks but the idea is there...an entertainment hub.

Soon Aik found his place in the Karaoke Room

Tada!! the man who wanted to go out so badly...

Take one!! without flash!!

Take 2! and you can see KY, May Kee and Siow Wei!

KY and me....no idea what happen to his eyes...

Evidence of you two singing a duet

Well, while everyone is busy singing songs or drinking alcohol or taking photos (me), we have Tan Choon Foong playing with the playlist....gosh!! He spent so much time choosing songs that cannot be played...we were pretty fed up with the Karaoke system in Library...definitely one of the worst we have seen...

And while I played with the iPhone 4 camera, I realized how bad the quality is under poor lighting condition...but then, despite of these photos with a circle spotlight (the flash was badly reflected due to the casing I'm using on the iPhone), we had a good time.

and that was Thursday night...

Friday night, we have our usual Futsal outing and it was amazing....I think we are enjoying the sessions more and more...
by the time we back home from UM after Futsal and a simple mamak session, it was about 2.30am....and these crazy bunch of people continued the football fever by saying Hi to FIFA...

Took this while Tom busy doing the settings for us!!

Soon Aik, awaiting desperately...

Well, we did not play on the small screen...we have the HDMI cable to connect to the TV!! Tada!!

Now I must said, I couldn't even recall when was the last time I played FIFA...it was used to be some WinningEleven session with Addie back in Ipoh, but after working, the time for these amazing games become so much lesser...and when we played the competition, I drew all the games, without scoring a single goal...hahaha!!
Tom, as usual was the best at it...winning all of it....
Clement, unbelievably had a win and a draw...
Soon Aik, drew 2 and lost one...poor thing....suits the Liverpool fans...wakaka!!

Well, you would probably think we would have run of steam given the activities we had, but not really....Saturday night is FA Cup final and we are not going to miss it!!
This time around, we have Ming Yee on board but she was camera shy (I guess it was probably due to the aging process that she decided to shy away from the cam)....

Dinner time in Kepong!!

The FA Cup final kicked off soon....immediately took the photo when I saw the Chelsea logo...don't mistaken...I'm no fans of Chelsea but the other day when Manchester United lost to City, some Liverpool fans (Soon Aik and some other people in the mamak) triggered me...and here's the sweet revenge...

not the team that I would root for, but Chelsea rather than Liverpool..

Tuition

It is always one of those time that I got all excited about...doing something more meaningful than just analyzing data and sales for insurance...

Tonight is another night to teach tuition...while it can be tiring, I felt that there is some meaning in what I am doing...

Hopefully I could do something that somehow bring some meaning to these kids...

Manchester United lost

It is supposed to be a holiday and I normally am in good mood during holidays but watching Manchester United lost 1-0 against City with my favourite player particular disappointing, it just spoil my day.

Anyway, back to the game....it was a rather unusual formation...of course, it's expected so given that Alex Ferguson had in mind to keep the 3 points lead...but with 5 midfielders, Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Nani, and Park Ji Sung, I wonder what could go wrong...dominated entirely by City...I guess it was pretty obvious for those who were watching the game....lack of physical presence in the midfield.

Time for reflection: What went wrong??

I think it is a season that the Red Devils must reflect on...even if winning the title this year seems embarrassing...losing 7-1 to City on aggregate in the Premier League is not something to be proud of. Defence was fragile with Evra in particular....Smalling was not as good as dubbed....and Park Ji Sung's time seem to be numbered...Nani, his occasional brilliance was just not there....

and one must be wondering why on Earth is Hernandez not out on the field...what is Alex Ferguson thinking? I guess it does not matter because the past remains the past....no doubt about that, should United lost the title this season, there will be a lot for Sir Alex Ferguson to think about and it is good then...perhaps then Fergie will know something needs to be changed...
